Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Hendrickson Hawks (Pflugerville, TX), 48-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Georgetown upgrades its record to 20-11 on the season. The Eagles host Elgin (Elgin, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 5A Region III District 23 bout on Saturday, February 4. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 6-23. Elgin lost 56-38 in their recent league bout against Cedar Creek (Cedar Creek, TX)

Next up, the Hawks clash with the Pflugerville Panthers (Pflugerville, TX) in a 5A Region III District 23 bout, on Saturday, February 4. Hendrickson will attempt to upgrade on its 23-8 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 11-20 record after their 64-38 league loss to East View (Georgetown, TX).
