Texas High School Basketball - Granbury thwarts Saginaw

The Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX) basketball knocked off the host Saginaw Rough Riders (Saginaw, TX), 60-51 in Friday's league test.
The Pirates (16-10) will now prepare for their test against Northwest (Justin, TX). The Texans go into the 5A Region I District 5 test with a 15-15 record. In their last test, Northwest notched a victory over Rider (Wichita Falls, TX), 43-31, in a league test.
The Rough Riders now own a 11-15 record. They play next when they travel to Azle for a 5A Region I District 5 test on Monday, February 6. Saginaw will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 81-52 league loss to Aledo (Aledo, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 14-15.
