Texas High School Basketball - Monte Alto overwhelmed by Lyford

The Lyford Bulldogs basketball team scored 78 points and restricted the host Monte Alto Blue Devil to 38 in the Bulldogs league victory on Friday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 13-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to IDEA Weslaco Pike for a 3A Region IV District 32 contest on Monday, February 6. Lyford will battle a team coming off a 59-48 league loss to Progreso (Progreso, TX). The record now stands at 8-14.
The Blue Devil (4-16) will now prepare for their contest against IDEA Sports Park (Brownsville, TX). The Stingrays come into the 3A Region IV District 32 contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, IDEA Sports Park triumphed over IDEA Riverview (Brownsville, TX), 58-33, in a league contest.
