Texas High School Basketball - Queen City topped by New Boston

The New Boston Lions basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the host Queen City Bulldogs to 45 in the Lions league victory on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hooks for a 3A Region II District 14 contest on Tuesday, February 7. New Boston will battle a Hornets team coming off a 48-38 league win over De Kalb (De Kalb, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 24-5.
The Bulldogs (5-21) will now prepare for their contest against Pewitt (Omaha, TX). The Brahmas come into the 3A Region II District 14 contest with a 2-25 record. In their last contest, Pewitt was defeated by Atlanta (Atlanta, TX), 73-34, in a league contest.
