New Home Leopards (New Home, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Tahoka Bulldogs (Tahoka, TX), 71-30 in a league bout.

With the win, New Home upgrades its record to 16-7 on the season. The Leopards host Plains (Plains, TX) to clash with the Cowboys in a 2A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 24-5. Plains won 66-31 in their recent league bout against Post (Post, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX) in a 2A Region I District 5 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Tahoka will attempt to upgrade on its 10-14 season record. The Roughnecks go into the bout with a 8-11 record after their 53-47 league win over Seagraves (Seagraves, TX).
