In Friday's league outing, the Richland Royals (North Richland Hills, TX) basketball squad felled the host Ryan Raiders (Denton, TX), by a margin of 59-39.
The Royals (18-6) will now prepare for their outing against Birdville (North Richland Hills, TX). The Hawks go into the 5A Region I District 7 outing with a 14-12 record. In their last outing, Birdville was beaten by Colleyville Heritage (Colleyville, TX), 67-65, in a league outing.
The Raiders now own a 10-16 record. They play next when they travel to Argyle for a 5A Region I District 7 outing on Saturday, February 4. Ryan will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 67-64 league win over Grapevine (Grapevine, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 22-8.
