Ohio High School Basketball - Valley Christian can't hold off Southern

The Southern Indians basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Valley Christian Eagles to 40 in the Indians league triumph on Friday.
The Indians now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monroe Central for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. Southern will battle a Seminoles team coming off a 67-47 league loss to Caldwell (Caldwell, OH). The Seminoles record now stands at 13-7.
The Eagles (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Wellsville (Wellsville, OH). The Tigers enter the Eastern Ohio contest with a 12-6 record. In their last contest, Wellsville nudged David Anderson (Lisbon, OH), 53-46, in a league contest.
