Bellevue Eagles (Bellevue, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Midway Falcons (Henrietta, TX), 42-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Bellevue upgrades its record to 3-15 on the season. The Eagles travel to Gold-Burg (Bowie, TX) to play the Bears in a 1A Region III District 22 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 2-11. Gold-Burg lost 50-47 in their recent league bout against Prairie Valley (Nocona, TX)

Next up, the Falcons play the Slidell Greyhounds (Slidell, TX) in a 1A Region III District 22 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Midway will attempt to upgrade on its 12-18 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 25-3 record after their 55-17 league win over Bellevue (Bellevue, TX).
