The South Eugene Axe basketball team (Eugene, OR), was nudged 39-36 in Friday's league battle with the visiting North Medford Black Tornado (Medford, OR)
The Black Tornado now sport a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grants Pass for a 6A Southwest battle on Tuesday, February 7. North Medford will battle a Cavemen team coming off a 49-31 league loss to Willamette (Eugene, OR). The Cavemen record now stands at 11-5.
The Axe (3-16) will now prepare for their battle against Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR). The Cavemen come into the 6A Southwest battle with a 11-5 record.
