The Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA) basketball nipped the visiting Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines (Athens, GA), 58-57 in Friday's league test.

The Patriots (14-8) will now prepare for their test against Jasper County (Monticello, GA). The Hurricanes go into the A D1 Region 5 test with a 4-18 record. In their last test, Jasper County was tipped by McNair (Atlanta, GA), 58-30, in a non-league test.

The Wolverines now own a 14-9 record. They play next when they travel to Social Circle for a A D1 Region 5 test on Tuesday, February 7. Prince Avenue Christian will encounter a Redskins squad coming off a 54-41 non-league loss to Eastside (Covington, GA). The Redskins record now stands at 6-13.
