In Friday's league outing, the Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC) basketball squad edged the visiting Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), by a count of 45-40.
The Wildcats (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Hayesville (Hayesville, NC). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league outing with a 6-8 record. In their last outing, Hayesville held off Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC), 44-42, in a non-league outing.
The Bulldogs now hold a 15-2 record. They play next when they host Cherokee for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 7.
