Middle Creek Mustangs (Apex, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Apex Cougars (Apex, NC), 61-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Middle Creek upgrades its record to 7-12 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Apex Friendship (Apex, NC) to clash with the Patriots in a bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 20-0. Apex Friendship won 62-40 in their recent league bout against Cary (Cary, NC)
Next up, the Cougars clash with the Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Apex will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record.
