The Mount Pleasant Tigers basketball team scored 50 points and held the host North Stanly Comets to 25 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Union Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. Mount Pleasant will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 75-44 non-league loss to Robinson (Concord, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 14-7.
The Comets (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 15-7 record. In their last contest, Union Academy triumphed over Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 38-34, in a non-league contest.
