Georgia High School Basketball - Charlton County trounced by McIntosh County Academy

February 3, 2024: Darien, GA 31305

The McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers routed the visiting Charlton County Indians basketball team by a final score of 69-28 in Saturday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Buccaneers face the Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA) in a A D2 Region 3 game, on Wednesday, February 7. McIntosh County Academy will attempt to move on its 14-7 season record. The War Eagles enter the game with a 17-5 record after their 89-28 league win over Savannah Classical Academy (Savannah, GA).

With the defeat, Charlton County moves to 12-11 on the year. The Indians host Atkinson County (Pearson, GA) to face the Rebels in a A D2 Region 2 game on Tuesday, February 6. The Rebels enter the game with a record of 6-16. Atkinson County lost 74-53 in their recent league game against Clinch County (Homerville, GA)
