The Pulaski County Cougars (Dublin, VA) basketball felled the visiting Blacksburg Bruins (Blacksburg, VA), 55-35 in Saturday's league test.
The Cougars (13-8) will now prepare for their test against Salem (Salem, VA). The Spartans go into the River Ridge test with a 19-2 record. In their last test, Salem thwarted Glenvar (Salem, VA), 47-8, in a non-league test.
The Bruins now own a 10-11 record. They play next when they host Glenvar for a non-league test on Monday, February 5. Blacksburg will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 47-8 non-league loss to Salem (Conyers, GA). The Highlanders record now stands at 0-17.
