Kansas High School Basketball - Wheatland-Grinnell nudges Northern Valley

In Saturday's non-league outing, the Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks (Grainfield, KS) basketball squad edged the host Northern Valley Huskies (Almena, KS), by a count of 52-50.

The Thunderhawks (11-4) will now prepare for their outing against Quinter (Quinter, KS). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 9-5 record. In their last outing, Quinter held off St. Francis (St. Francis, KS), 55-22, in a non-league outing.

The Huskies now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Alma for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 6. Northern Valley will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 44-31 league loss to Southern Valley (Oxford, NE). The Cardinals record now stands at 17-3.
