The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA) and the host Chavez Titans (Delano, CA), observed Shafter's basketball team edge Chavez by a score of 60-56.

The Generals (7-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Kennedy (Delano, CA). The Thunderbirds come into the South Sequoia challenge with a 10-11 record. In their last challenge, Kennedy was tipped by McFarland (McFarland, CA), 64-57, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Titans battle the Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA) in a South Sequoia challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Chavez will attempt to improve on its 11-14 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 12-11 record after their 81-44 league loss to McFarland (McFarland, CA).
