Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Greater Latrobe can't hold off Greensburg Salem

Greensburg Salem Golden Lions (Greensburg, PA) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Greater Latrobe Wildcats (Latrobe, PA), 48-46 in a league match.

With the victory, Greensburg Salem advances its record to 12-8 on the year. The Golden Lions travel to West Mifflin (West Mifflin, PA) to face the Titans in a WPIAL 5A 2 match on Thursday, February 6. The Titans enter the match with a record of 3-12. West Mifflin lost 60-28 in their recent league challenge against Indiana (Indiana, PA)

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Blackhawk Cougars (Beaver Falls, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 6. Greater Latrobe will attempt to improve on its 10-9 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 18-2 record after their 62-25 league win over Hampton (Allison Park, PA).
