The West Side Pirates (Dayton, ID) basketball knocked off the visiting Bear Lake Bears (Montpelier, ID), 53-42 in Friday's league test.
The Pirates (14-6) will now prepare for their test against Aberdeen (Aberdeen, ID). The Tigers go into the 2A South East Idaho test with a 11-8 record. In their last test, Aberdeen notched a victory over Malad (Malad, ID), 39-32, in a league test.
The Bears now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they host Soda Springs for a 2A South East Idaho test on Tuesday, February 8. Bear Lake will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 51-35 non-league win over Valley (Hazelton, ID). The Cardinals record now stands at 9-10.
