Illinois High School Basketball - Abingdon/Avon can't hold off Annawan

The Annawan Braves basketball team scored 32 points and restricted the host Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes to 31 in the Braves non-league victory on Saturday.
The Braves now sport a 12-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monmouth United for a Lincoln Trail contest on Tuesday, February 7. Annawan will battle a Red Storm team coming off a 51-44 non-league loss to Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL). The Red Storm record now stands at 11-14.
The Tornadoes (8-17) will now prepare for their contest against Princeville (Princeville, IL). The Princes come into the Lincoln Trail contest with a 15-9 record. In their last contest, Princeville edged Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL), 67-27, in a non-league contest.
