Barnegat Bengals (Barnegat, NJ) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Absegami Braves (Galloway, NJ), 65-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Barnegat upgrades its record to 8-11 on the campaign. The Bengals travel to Seneca (Tabernacle, NJ) to play the Golden Eagles in a non-league bout on Monday, February 6. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a record of 6-13. Seneca lost 48-32 in their recent non-league bout against Moorestown (Moorestown, NJ)

Next up, the Braves play the Morris Catholic Crusaders (Denville, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 15. Absegami will attempt to upgrade on its 16-7 season record.
