Texas High School Basketball - Lubbock knocked off by Cooper

The Cooper Cougars basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Lubbock Westerners to 30 in the Cougars league triumph on Saturday.
The Cougars now sport a 16-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coronado for a 5A Region I District 4 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Cooper will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 61-47 league loss to Wylie (Abilene, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 17-10.
The Westerners (4-26) will now prepare for their contest against Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Plainsmen enter the 5A Region I District 4 contest with a 21-8 record. In their last contest, Monterey ran past Cooper (Abilene, TX), 64-44, in a league contest.
