Dakota Indians (Dakota, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Warren Warriors (Warren, IL), 39-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dakota upgrades its record to 14-12 on the campaign. The Indians host Aquin Catholic (Freeport, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a Northwest Upstate Illini - North bout on Friday, February 10. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-23.

Next up, the Warriors play the Pecatonica Vikings (Blanchardville, WI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 6. Warren will attempt to upgrade on its 18-7 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 74-41 non-league loss to Benton (Benton, WI).
