Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Morton Potters (Morton, IL) and the visiting East Peoria Raiders (East Peoria, IL), saw Morton's basketball squad hold off East Peoria by a count of 40-36.
With the victory, Morton upgrades its record to 22-8 on the campaign. The Potters host Dunlap (Dunlap, IL) to play the Eagles in a Mid-Illini challenge on Friday, February 10. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 13-14.
Next up, the Raiders play the Richwoods Knights (Peoria, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. East Peoria will attempt to upgrade on its 15-10 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 20-3 record after their 48-42 league win over Champaign Central (Champaign, IL).
