In Saturday's league outing, the Lake Oconee Academy Titans (Greensboro, GA) basketball squad edged the visiting Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA), by a count of 42-38.

The Titans (5-17) will now prepare for their outing against Washington-Wilkes (Washington, GA). The Tigers go into the A D2 Region 8A outing with a 9-12 record. In their last outing, Washington-Wilkes was tipped by Warren County (Warrenton, GA), 66-30, in a league outing.

The Indians now hold a 14-9 record. They play next when they travel to Greene County for a A D2 Region 8A outing on Wednesday, February 8. Towns County will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 57-40 league win over Georgia School for Innovation & Classics (Hephzibah, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 7-15.
