The Northland Prep Academy Spartans (Flagstaff, AZ) basketball nipped the visiting Mountainside Wolves (Wittmann, AZ), 1-0 in Saturday's league test.

The Spartans (9-11) will now prepare for their test against Highland Prep (Surprise, AZ). The Honey Badgers go into the 2A Central test with a 18-6 record. In their last test, Highland Prep got by North Pointe Prep (Phoenix, AZ), 84-31, in a league test.

The Wolves now own a 0-15 record. They play next when they host Phoenix Christian for a 2A Central test on Monday, February 6. Mountainside will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 75-59 league win over Glendale Prep Academy (Glendale, AZ). The Cougars record now stands at 21-4.
