Oakwood Lumberjacks (Dayton, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Northridge Polar Bears (Dayton, OH), 54-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Oakwood upgrades its record to 16-4 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Waynesville (Waynesville, OH) to play the Spartans in a Southwestern Buckeye - East bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Waynesville won 70-63 in their recent non-league bout against Wilmington (Wilmington, OH)

Next up, the Polar Bears play the Lehman Catholic Cavaliers (Sidney, OH) in a Three Rivers bout, on Friday, February 10. Northridge will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record.
