The Wood River Eagles basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Ravenna Bluejays to 40 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Eagles now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Minden for a C1 District 9 contest on Thursday, February 9. Wood River will play a Whippets squad coming off a 63-47 non-league win over Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE). The Whippets record now stands at 9-10.

Next up, the Bluejays play the St. Paul Wildcats (St. Paul, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Ravenna will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 49-25 non-league win over Gibbon (Gibbon, NE).
