Wilmot Wolves (Wilmot, SD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Langford Lions (Langford, SD), 45-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Wilmot upgrades its record to 5-11 on the season. The Wolves host Waubay/Summit (Waubay, SD) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Monday, February 6. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 7-8. Waubay/Summit lost 44-34 in their recent non-league bout against Northwestern Area (Mellette, SD)

Next up, the Lions play the Leola/Frederick Titans (Leola, SD) in a B Region 1 bout, on Monday, February 6. Langford will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 13-2 record after their 49-28 non-league loss to Jones County (Murdo, SD).
