The Quemado Eagles (Quemado, NM) basketball nipped the host Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM), 44-37 in Saturday's league test.
The Eagles (15-6) will now prepare for their test against Magdalena (Magdalena, NM). The Steers go into the A District 2 test with a 12-10 record. In their last test, Magdalena was tipped by Reserve (Reserve, NM), 47-45, in a league test.
The SonBlazers now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they host Magdalena for a A District 2 test on Thursday, February 9.
