Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Owyhee Braves (Owyhee, NV) and the host Wells Leopards (Wells, NV), saw Owyhee's basketball squad hold off Wells by a count of 47-40.

With the victory, Owyhee upgrades its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Braves host Carlin (Carlin, NV) to play the Railroaders in a 1A Eastern challenge on Friday, February 10. The Railroaders come into the challenge with a record of 3-14.

Next up, the Leopards play the Wendover Wildcats (Wendover, UT) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 8. Wells will attempt to upgrade on its 12-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 16-3 record after their 55-35 non-league loss to Piute (Junction, UT).
