In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Canton Golden Bears (Canton, NY) ice hockey team nudged the visiting St. Lawrence Central Larries (Brasher Falls, NY), by a margin of 3-2.
The Golden Bears now possess a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Salmon River for a Division 2 challenge on Friday, February 10. Canton will clash with a Shamrocks team coming off a 8-3 league win over Potsdam (Potsdam, NY). The Shamrocks record now stands at 16-1.
The Larries (1-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Norwood-Norfolk (Norwood, NY). The Flyers enter the Division 2 challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Norwood-Norfolk tipped St. Lawrence Central (Brasher Falls, NY), 2-1, in a league challenge.
