North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashe County nips Hibriten

February 4, 2025: Lenoir, NC 28645

In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Ashe County Huskies basketball team scored a close 71-64 triumph over the Hibriten Panthers.

The Huskies (7-11) will now prepare for their contest against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots go into the 3A/4A Northwestern contest with a 15-5 record. In their last contest, Freedom was tipped by South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 86-65, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a 3A/4A Northwestern contest, on Friday, February 7. Hibriten will attempt to better on its 3-18 season record. The Pioneers go into the contest with a 14-6 record after their 55-43 league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).
