Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Gilbert Indians (Gilbert, SC), 67-36 in a league match.
With the victory, Midland Valley advances its record to 16-7 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Aiken (Aiken, SC) to face the Fighting Green Hornets in a AAAA Region 4 match on Friday, February 7. The Fighting Green Hornets enter the match with a record of 10-12. Aiken lost 58-53 in their recent league match against Brookland-Cayce (Cayce, SC)
The Indians now own a 2-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gray Collegiate Academy for a AAAA Region 4 match on Wednesday, February 5. Gilbert will face a War Eagles squad coming off a 83-19 league win over Airport (West Columbia, SC). The War Eagles record now stands at 13-7.
