The Westerners now possess a 9-20 record. They play next when they travel to Caprock for a 5A Region I District 3 bout on Friday, February 7. Lubbock will play a Longhorns team coming off a 59-54 league win over Plainview (Plainview, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 6-22.

With the loss, Plainview falls to 13-14 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Tascosa (Amarillo, TX) to play the Rebels in a 5A Region I District 3 bout on Friday, February 7. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 19-10. Tascosa won 53-50 in their recent league bout against Coronado (Lubbock, TX)
