In Tuesday's non-league test, the Minnewaska Area Lakers (Glenwood, MN) basketball squad knocked off the host Melrose Dutchmen (Melrose, MN), by a score of 70-61.

Next, the Lakers encounter the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers (Morris, MN) in a AA Section 3 test, on Friday, February 7. Minnewaska Area will attempt to improve on its 10-9 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 13-6 record after their 77-59 league win over West Central Area (Barrett, MN).

The Dutchmen (4-15) will now prepare for their test against Albany (Albany, MN). The Huskies come into the AA Section 6 test with a 17-0 record. In their last test, Albany beat Foley (Foley, MN), 86-33, in a league test.
