North Carolina High School Basketball - Wilkes Central sneaks past North Wilkes

The Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) basketball edged the host North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC), 59-52 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Eagles now possess a 11-11 record. They play next when they travel to West Wilkes for a 2A Foothills bout on Friday, February 7. Wilkes Central will confront a Blackhawks team coming off a 87-47 league loss to North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Blackhawks record now stands at 7-14.

In their next game, the Vikings confront the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a 2A Foothills contest, on Friday, February 7. North Wilkes will attempt to better on its 7-13 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the contest with a 16-3 record after their 100-39 league win over Forbush (East Bend, NC).
