North Carolina High School Basketball - Rocky Mount Prep holds off Northwest Halifax

February 4, 2025: Rocky Mount, NC 27804

The Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars basketball squad scored 91 points and held the visiting Northwest Halifax Vikings to 87 in the Jaguars league victory on Tuesday.

With the victory, Rocky Mount Prep advances its record to 6-11 on the year. The Jaguars host Warren County (Warrenton, NC) to meet the Eagles in a 1A Tar Roanoke battle on Wednesday, February 5. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 13-7. Warren County lost 46-43 in their recent league battle against Northampton County (Gaston, NC)

The Vikings now own a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southeast Halifax for a 1A Tar Roanoke battle on Wednesday, February 5. Northwest Halifax will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 55-48 league win over North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 3-16.
