The Taft Greyhounds basketball squad (Taft, TX), lost 68-50 in Tuesday's league battle with the host West Oso Bears (Corpus Christi, TX)

With the victory, West Oso advances its record to 21-12 on the year. The Bears host Odem (Odem, TX) to meet the Owls in a 3A Region IV District 29 battle on Friday, February 7. The Owls enter the battle with a record of 6-12.

The Greyhounds now own a 17-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mathis for a 3A Region IV District 29 battle on Friday, February 7. Taft will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 64-45 league loss to George West (George West, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 8-16.
