North Carolina High School Basketball - Avery County routs Madison

February 4, 2025: Newland, NC 28657

In Tuesday's league contest, the host Avery County Vikings basketball team scored a big 65-23 triumph over the Madison Patriots.

The Vikings (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against Owen (Black Mountain, NC). The Warhorses go into the 1A/2A Western Highlands contest with a 3-18 record. In their last contest, Owen smashed NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC), 53-15, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Patriots confront the Rosman Tigers (Rosman, NC) in a 1A/2A Western Highlands contest, on Wednesday, February 5. Madison will attempt to better on its 7-14 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 6-13 record after their 68-29 league loss to Draughn (Valdese, NC).
