The Newkirk Tigers basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Blackwell Maroons to 38 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tigers now possess a 11-11 record. They play next when they travel to Pawhuska for a non-league contest on Friday, February 7. Newkirk will battle a Huskies team coming off a 51-26 league win over Pawnee (Pawnee, OK). The Huskies record now stands at 18-3.
In their next game, the Maroons battle the Tonkawa Buccaneers (Tonkawa, OK) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 7. Blackwell will attempt to better on its 7-10 season record. The Buccaneers come into the contest with a 6-14 record after their 70-18 non-league loss to Alva (Alva, OK).
