In Saturday's non-league outing, the Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA) basketball squad beat the host Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA), by a count of 52-42.

The Minutemen (11-7) will now prepare for their outing against Heritage (Lynchburg, VA). The Pioneers go into the Seminole outing with a 0-17 record. In their last outing, Heritage was topped by Amherst County (Amherst, VA), 61-21, in a league outing.

The Bengals now hold a 3-16 record. They play next when they travel to Magna Vista for a Piedmont outing on Monday, February 7. Bassett will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 82-33 league win over Martinsville (Martinsville, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 18-2.
