Highland Christian Academy EAGLES (Valdosta, GA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Valwood Valiants (Valdosta, GA), 59-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Highland Christian Academy upgrades its record to 15-9 on the season. The EAGLES host Grace Christian Academy (Bainbridge, GA) to play the Cougars in a GIAA A Region 3 bout on Friday, February 9. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Grace Christian Academy lost 52-49 in their recent non-league bout against Georgia Christian (Valdosta, GA)

Next up, the Valiants play the Brookwood Warriors (Thomasville, GA) in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Valwood will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 23-2 record after their 58-29 non-league win over Southwest Georgia Academy (Damascus, GA).
