The Polk County Wildcats basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Marion County Warriors to 61 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Monday.

The Wildcats now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Roane County for a 2A District 3 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Polk County will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 90-54 league win over Meigs County (Decatur, TN). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 18-6.

The Warriors (7-11) will now prepare for their contest against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences (Chattanooga, TN). The Patriots enter the 2A District 4 contest with a 10-11 record. In their last contest, Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences ran past Hixson (Hixson, TN), 77-39, in a non-league contest.
