Polk County Wildcats (Benton, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Marion County Warriors (Jasper, TN), 69-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Polk County upgrades its record to 9-11 on the season. The Wildcats host Sequoyah (Madisonville, TN) to clash with the Chiefs in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 11-14. Sequoyah lost 58-56 in their recent non-league bout against Tellico Plains (Tellico Plains, TN)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Tyner Academy Rams (Chattanooga, TN) in a 2A District 4 bout, on Saturday, February 10. Marion County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 18-4 record after their 71-63 league loss to Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences (Chattanooga, TN).
