Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Powell Panthers (Powell, TN), 58-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Anderson County upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Clinton (Clinton, TN) to play the Dragons in a 3A District 4 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 19-5. Clinton won 49-43 in their recent league bout against Cumberland Gap (Cumberland Gap, TN)

Next up, the Panthers play the Halls Red Devils (Knoxville, TN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Powell will attempt to upgrade on its 12-12 season record.
