Atkins Red Devils (Atkins, AR) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs (North Little Rock, AR), 47-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Atkins upgrades its record to 8-14 on the season. The Red Devils host Dover (Dover, AR) to play the Pirates in a 3A Region 5 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 19-5. Dover lost 70-50 in their recent league bout against Mayflower (Mayflower, AR)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Lamar Warriors (Lamar, AR) in a 3A Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Central Arkansas Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-21 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 19-5 record after their 54-22 league win over Maumelle Charter (Maumelle, AR).
