In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting South Laurel Cardinals basketball squad scored a big 77-56 victory over the Jackson County Generals.

With the victory, South Laurel improves its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Williamsburg (Williamsburg, KY) to confront the Yellowjackets in a District 50 challenge on Friday, February 9. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 5-15.

Next up, the Generals confront the North Laurel Jaguars (London, KY) in a District 49 challenge, on Friday, February 9. Jackson County will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 17-4 record after their 67-35 non-league win over Pineville (Pineville, KY).
