The Clinch County Panthers (Homerville, GA) basketball edged the visiting Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA), 35-34 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 18-2 record. They play next when they host Echols County for a A D2 Region 2 outing on Friday, February 7. Clinch County will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 64-53 non-league loss to Valwood (Valdosta, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-17.
The Rebels (7-16) will now prepare for their outing against Lanier County (Lakeland, GA). The Bulldogs enter the A D2 Region 2 outing with a 13-9 record. In their last outing, Lanier County was nipped by Clinch County (Homerville, GA), 67-39, in a league outing.
