The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Maury Commodores (Norfolk, VA) and the host Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA), observed Maury's basketball team overcome Granby by a margin of 67-58.

The Commodores (15-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Taylor (Norfolk, VA). The Titans come into the Eastern challenge with a 14-3 record. In their last challenge, Lake Taylor defeated Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA), 96-19, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Comets battle the Manor Mustangs (Portsmouth, VA) in a Eastern challenge, on Friday, February 7. Granby will attempt to better on its 9-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 61-38 league loss to Norview (Norfolk, VA).
